Supporting the Implementation of REACh

The ECRN has actively participated in the debate for the development of the European chemicals policy (REACh). The ECRN has developed joint positions and participated in Commission Working Groups to represent the interest of chemical regions. With the adoption of the legislation the focus now shifts towards questions of implementation of REACH. A special concern are the challenges that especially SMEs are facing. For this purpose several chemical regions have developed information platforms and helpdesks. These initiatives should be further developed in the future.
