Professionals Chemistry Initiative
Saxony-Anhalt (FKI)

The project "Initiative chemistry professionals Saxony-Anhalt" by the Qualifizierungsförderwerk Chemie GmbH (QFC) provides preventative guidance in the context of a sectoral network structure. It are the following objectives:

  • to assist businesses in their forward-thinking personnel policies to counter a looming skills shortage by preventive measures

  • to build a network of businesses, educational institutions and advisory bodies, whereby more targeted information-, experience- and practical support services are being organized,

  • to use the chances of positive economic development of the country and to enable as many people as possible access to sustainable and technically demanding stable employment opportunities.

The plan is to guide specific branches. The initiative addresses companies in the chemical industry and adjacent suppliers, processors and service providers. The requirements determine the methods and tools of human resource management.

The project will be financed within the budget of the Operational Programme from European Social Fund (ESF) in the funding period 2006-2013. 75 % of the costs will be covered by funds of ESF and 25 % will co-financed by the federal state of Sachsen-Anhalt.

Actors of the economy and the labor market are actively involved as the organizations of employers (employers Nordostchemie e.V.), the employees (Mining Chemistry Energy), the chambers of industry and commerce are partners as well as employment agencies, consortiums, utility companies, municipalities and others. Furthermore, suitable training opportunities are proposed and systematic implementation models with educational institutions, colleges and universities are proposed.
