ECRN Working Group Meeting on 1 March 2007 in Brussels
The ECRN Working Group has met in Brussels for the first time after the end of the Interreg project in order to discuss the future development of the network and the thematic priorities. The ECRN will open a network office in Brussels to strengthen its stakeholder position in the EU environment. Important topics have been the new EU energy agenda, the preparation of the HLG competitiveness of chemical industry and the perspectives of the Regions for Economic Change / Interreg IVC. Several proposals for follow up projects have been presented for new EU programmes such as Interreg IVC, Regions of Knowledge, FP7 or Leonardo that should help to deepen the exchange of knowledge between the partners and enlarge the partnership.
